Family and Friends~ I hope everybody is having a great summer.  We do have some positive news to share regarding Erik.  After monthly visits to Mayo since the last post, Erik has received some encouraging news.  The severe inflammation in the lungs caused by the chemo drugs is starting to subside.  While his lungs are nowhere near 100%, they have shown a steady progression of improvement over the past 3 months.  He continues on his regimen of steroids and antibiotics. The combination of Prednisone and 'time elapsed' since the last chemo cycle have allowed his lungs to start the healing process.  While we are encouraged, we still need prayer for complete healing. We would like to thank all of you again for the continued prayers and support.  We were at a family reunion this weekend and were able to see a lot of family members that have supported Erik since all of this started last December.  We have felt very loved by all of our family and friends that have reached out with cards, donations, calls, texts and visits.  We will always remember how you have helped us in our time of need.
