Erika, wife, daughter, sister, teacher, coach, and friend has touched many hearts in 39 years and now it is time to touch hers.
In January of this year, Erika and her husband Zach started a new journey when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. Part of the journey is chemo/immunotherapy, which started on February 25th. Erika is a fighter, and this is a battle she will win.
Erika has been a teacher and coach at Rush City High School for 13 years. Her involvement and the many different hats she wears at RCHS is untouchable. She inspires her students and athletes with passion and enthusiasm. Her students see this through her willingness to lend an ear, give a helping hand, cheer them on, and be a shoulder when needed. She touches students lives and truly makes a difference every single day.
Zach and Erika met through their passion for coaching (as rival coaches), and they were married in 2015. They have been supportive of one another, but Zach has always been and will continue to be her strength. #HERROCK
