It’s been 12 years since Eric was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease in 2006, and the medications are no longer sufficiently effective. In addition there are increasingly serious side effects from them. So...he’s taking the plunge and having DBS surgery (Deep Brain Stimulation) which is like installing a pacemaker for the brain. The process includes 3 surgeries: April 20th, May 14th, + May 25th, all at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.
As many wonderful folks have offered to help in different ways, it seemed easier to keep most of the information in one place.

F May 25 - 8 am- 3RD SURGERY -batteries+controllers put in
June 1st -Post op appt
June 8th -Post op appt
June ? -DBS programming begins. Yeah baby!!!! Bionic man here we come!
