On Saturday January 14th, Eric was in an ATV accident at Rexmere, his family farm and camp.  He was alone without any witnesses therefore many details remain unknown.  What we do know is that he was asked to help a cousin who had broken down on another ATV about 15 minutes from the cabins.  He left the cabins shortly thereafter on a fourwheeler and after about 45 minutes a call was made back to the cabins because Eric had not shown up.  From there a search party began looking for Eric.  It wasn't until approximately 45 mins after that, that Eric was found walking in a nearby field disoriented, bloody and unaware of what happened.  He was picked up and brought back to the cabins where first responders, EMS/Ambulance were on the scene.  Due to the extend of his injuries he was airlifted to the trauma center in Alexandria.  After a preliminary diagnosis and recognition of a need for a higher degree of care he was transferred via jet with the most amazing critical care flight team to Ochsner in New Orleans where he is currently practicing Urology.    The team of doctors that have immediately jumped on his case have been unbelievable and we are very blessed that Eric is in the right place, getting the best care possible.
