Eric Hedges

Eric Hedges is a 13 year old boy who was born with Cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) the same condition as Gaten Matarazzo from Netflix's Stranger Things.  CCD is a rare congenital bone disorder not related to dwarfism.  It has varying degrees of severity ranging from short stature, dental malformities, and orthopedic problems.   Most people with CCD are short in height, have dental problems, and are missing clavicles.  It is a dominant disorder, and can affect siblings differently.  Eric was diagnosed as having severe scoliosis and is in need of corrective surgery which includes spinal fusion from T2-T12 vertebrae, and rehabilitation.  His mom  Denise is a  single mom, and although engaged to be married, is the primary breadwinner and caretaker.  There are 6 people in Eric's family; his mom, sister Casey, mom's fiance Steve, his older brother Austin, and dad Brent who lives in Nebraska.  
Eric's mom has minimal PTO time to cover expenses and expects to be out of work for a lengthy time due to Eric's recovery.  There is a need to cover medical expenses insurance will not cover, co-pays, and possible medical equipment.  Also there is a need to cover daily living expenses and lodging/travel expenses to Rochester Mayo Clinic.  
Eric enjoys basketball (Timberwolves), and WWE wrestling.  He also enjoys computers, video gaming and a multitude of sports.  Eric has the deepest blue eyes you've ever seen, and the most contagious smile showing deep dimples expressing happiness and love .  He is a life-loving energetic boy.  Your help and prayers will be greatly appreciated!
