Eric Danner - December 9, 1958 - February, 16, 2021
Our son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend Eric lost his long battle with ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease) today.  He fought this disease with courage and determination leaving behind memories of his wonderful laugh, kind heart and ever present love of family gatherings.  Although we would rather have Eric here in our lives, God has  welcomed him home to join his father Richard, grandparents Edna and Ole Walsvik and Syda and Norman Danner along with his cousins, aunts and uncles who have preceded him into the arms of God.  We have created this site to celebrate Eric's life through photos (see the gallery) and words and will be posting an announcement for his memorial service. Please feel free to post a favorite photo or memory (well wishes) of Eric as a place to remember him. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for your kind thoughts and for visiting.

Eric Danner was born the second child to Richard and Deloris (Walsvik) Danner on December 9, 1958 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI.  He leaves behind 4 siblings, Ann Danner Dwyer (Kevin Dwyer), Amy Danner Davis (Robert Davis),Karen Danner and Andrew Danner (Mari Sanders) He loved and cherished his nieces and nephews - Erin and Kieley Harrington, John and Patrick Dwyer, and Cole and Grant Danner.

Eric's family would like to express our sincere gratitude to  all of the nurses and social workers of Thrive of Lake County (formerly Winchester House), Journey Care Hospice, his nurse Kate, Chaplain Bruce, and all of the CNA's who cared for his physical and emotional needs.  We would also like to thank Pastor Bob and Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Libertyville for supporting our entire family during this very difficult journey.

Gifts in Eric's memory can be made to Journey Care Foundation at https://journeycare.org/journeycare-foundation/memorial-giving/. to help those in need receive the same compassionate end-of-life care that Eric so lovingly received.  Their address is  Journey Care Foundation - 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025-7635.
