Welcome to our Caring Bridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Eric underwent a routine annual blood test on 9-6-17 and this showed that he had a PSA test that is 43 compared to the normal 4 or less. His primary care physician called him in and told him he had a 60% chance that he had prostate cancer. He saw a very good urologist on 9-27-17 and underwent a prostate biopsy. The 12 samples taken were positive for prostate cancer cells. The results indicated that he had a Gleason grade of 4 + 3, score 7. This was updated by a University of Washington pathologist to Gleason grade of 4 + 5, score 9 on 10-25-17. The tumor was classified as a grade 3 (WHO). We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. We will update this site as new test results are available and treatments are scheduled.
