Emmitt Henningfeld was a four year old who like to ride bikes, be outdoors, who loves animals especially his two dogs Oscar and Darla. Emmitt had some healthcare concerns he is hard of hearing, and was not gaining weight. In August the family was noticing that he was having difficulty keeping his balance and walking straight. They went to a neurologist at Mercy Hospital. They did an MRI of what they thought was a cyst in the brain. The neurologist sent them to a neurosurgeon to have the cyst removed. The Neurosurgeon stated it was a tumor not a cyst and they needed to do a biopsy immediately. After the biopsy results Emmitt was diagnosed with a low grade Glioma. The tumor is growing at two different rates and he will need to begin chemotherapy in December.
