Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. I know I am always behind on updates but I have so much to write and show. I am just now really getting to it as we have been so immersed in treatment and care.

Emma is a 3 year old little girl who suddenly became so sick with Leukemia. I knew something was off and asked Pediatrician for blood work. They called us same day 5 hours later and had us rush to Children's Hospital where she was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL. She needed 3 blood transfusions and 2 platelet transfusions. We are on a 30 month path of chemo, spinal's and lot's of medications. She has an 86% chance of a cancer free event for 4 years after treatment, After that it's up in the air. She has a high risk of developing other types of cancer later in life as well if she makes it through this phase. I cannot even imagine how we will get through this.
Our family has been through so much loss - My dad died from cancer, 1 month later my Grandmother, 10 months before my grandfather. My mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 11 months ago and has some permanent complications. Been through a horrible divorce and we have no support system. My new husbands mom was diagnosed with same type of breast cancer 18 months before now, his dad passed a year ago and my 17 year old step daughter was diagnosed type I diabetic this same time last year. We are survivors and we will never stop fighting for our kids. We will get through this even if we don't have money or fancy things - we have each other.

Any thoughts and prayers you can send are so very helpful and appreciated. Please help spread the word about childhood cancer. They need the national attention that the others receive. There is hardly any funding or notoriety for childhood cancer. We need it now more than ever!

I have had to shove my pride aside and I know we are not any more special or deserving than any other childhood cancer family but we really need help. We have legal bills, medical bills, daily care bills and debt bills. If it was just medical and daily I know we could get through it but all of this at once and we are sinking. Anything is appreciated.
