Emily Navarra #Emilystrong

On December 13, 2015 our lives forever changed. After taking Emily to the ER and having a CT scan completed we were told the worst news that parents could hear; that she had a large growth in her brain. They could not confirm what the growth was until she had brain surgery to remove part of the growth and have a biopsy done. Emily underwent brain surgery and on December 17, 2015 it was confirmed that it was in fact a cancerous tumor, a malignant Medduloblastoma. It is in her brain as well as her spine so now we must start an alternate treatment to kill the rest of the cancer. We know this will be a long journey for our family but we are prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure that Emily gets better. She is a strong little girl and she WILL beat this. I truly believe that. Thank you to all of those who have supported us throughout this process so far. I hope that this site will help to keep everyone updated of Emily's progress and will continue to be a place of comfort for our family during this difficult time.
