My mom Emily was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2006, was treated, and went into remission. In September of 2014, we discovered that despite her routine checkups, the cancer had some how metastasized and was in her bones. After undergoing radiation, several different types of chemo treatments and lots of treatment-related complications, my mom decided to finally quit working in September 2016 and come to Seattle to allow my husband Karma, my sister Tracy and I care for her.
