Early Friday morning, Emilie went into cardiac arrest while asleep, for reasons which are unclear at this point. She was taken to Memorial Hospital, where she has been in the ICU. Since her arrival, she has been sedated and supported by a ventilator (breathing tube). She began a hypothermia protocol to keep her body temperature low while she recovers. As the doctors had planned, Emilie’s first 24 hours in the hospital have been relatively uneventful, with some small positive improvements.

The doctors taking care of Emilie are outstanding and the family has comfort with Emilie in their hands. The family is trusting our Father, giving all glory to God, the Great Physician.
