Ellie was born on April 15 - nineteen days early! Early on Ellie had some difficulty maintaining her oxygen levels. After closely monitoring her they decided it was best to place her in the NICU for closer observation. After performing an echocardiogram doctors discovered Ellie has a severe coarctation of her aorta. Ellie was flown to Mayo Clinic for further testing and treatment. Ellie is undergoing surgery today, April 20, 2018.
We will post updates as they become available. We appreciate your prayers and support. We have complete faith and trust in the doctors and medical teams and we know Ellie is in the best care possible.
