Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Ellen came to Aruba on November 28th for 2 weeks.  When she arrived she was recovering from bronchitis but couldn’t seem to get over it.  Faye Doctrow took her to the ER  at the hospital in Aruba where she was diagnosed with dehydration, COPD, heart fibrillation and a stomach virus. Once that was under control she developed a terrible cough and went to urgent care where they took a chest x-ray and gave her a diagnosis of pneumonia.

She left Aruba one week ago on Thursday, December 12th, with her sister-in-law, Darlene who had come to spend Ellen’s second week in Aruba with her.  She was a doll and took absolutely wonderful care of Ellen the entire week. Darlene actually changed her ticket from Aruba to Miami to Aruba to Charlotte, so that she could accompany Ellen to Charlotte and help her change to the plane to Harrisburg. Thank G-d she did that. Ellen became quite ill on the plane & they gave her oxygen in-flight.

Ellen has been in the hospital in Charlotte for the last week.  Her sister Deb and Rich came down on Monday on a one way ticket as they have no clue how long she’ll be hospitalized.  Josh drove down on Thursday and her sister says she's in critical condition.
