Welcome to the CaringBridge website for my mom. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayer, support, and words of hope and encouragement.

After more than two months of testing, beginning with my internist, followed by a CT scan, an MRI, and then a biopsy, I have been diagnosed with a malignant pancreatic tumor. I have seen a local surgical oncologist, who has recommended that I begin with chemotherapy to shrink the tumor, before attempting to surgically remove it. I will begin the chemotherapy very soon after having a port installed Thursday, March 12. This does not preclude getting a second opinion, particularly concerning surgery.

My faith is strong, and I have an army of family and friends already joining in praying for me on this journey. I hope that you who are reading this will join me and my family in prayer.

I am not afraid, because I know that God is with me, no matter the outcome. I am, however, praying for complete healing, so my attitude will be very positive going forward. Please do not feel sorry for me, and please find ways to share joy for the journey ahead.

I am very blessed to have a wonderful support group including my immediate family, extended family, many dear friends, and a church family that is very special to me. My faith will not be shaken. According to Psalms 18:2, The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.

I will rest in Him, but cherish your love and prayers.
