In Dec 2020 I told my doctor that I'd been having recent stomach pain. Fast forward: Colonoscopy - leading to diagnosis of colon cancer. Whirlwind... I met a surgeon, an oncologist, and was plunged into a brand new BIG learning curve. Jan - Surgery at Summit Hospital. (Shout/out to Summit: Terrific nursing staff, and a stunning view of Oakland from my ninth floor room.) Feb - Port placement. March - Covid vaccines - hooray! A week after the 2nd shot, I started chemo. 3 week cycle for infusion & All Those Pills. April - Springtime in El Cerrito! Hopefully, chemo will be finished in mid-June. Between now and then, I'm hoping for visits, walks around the neighborhood, and more time outside with flowers, and with you!
