Elle Miller

Elle is a 14 year old freshman at Woodbury High School in Woodbury, MN. She is my only daughter, my middle child between 16 year old Jake and 12, almost 13 year old Ty.  ☺

On November 17th, she came to me and pointed out a lump above her left clavicle.  I brought her into our clinic with the first Dr. that was available. She ordered an ultrasound the following week, which was inconclusive, so they did an MRI with contrast the last week of November. 

Those results showed a swollen lymph node, along with clusters of them running diagonally across her chest. We met with a surgeon the following week, who diagnosed her with Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma.  He consulted with oncology and she had a PET scan 2 days later.


Thankfully, that showed no additional cancer anywhere and confirmed the Stage 2. She had surgery December 11th, to remove the clavicular lymph node for pathology and to place a port for chemotherapy.  

She starts her chemo in January at Minneapolis Children's Hospital and will continue to receive chemo every week, as far as I know. 

Although she has normal fears of pain, the unknown of what happens next, she is an AMAZINGLY strong, positive, humorous, down to earth accepting this, sweet, naughty young woman.  I am so proud of her. ❤🤗
