Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We've created it to keep friends and family updated about our Elizabeth's progress.  As we spend this time with her, we would appreciate your prayers.  Feel free to check back and keep updated on how she is doing.

Jody and I experienced the happiest day of our lives this past Friday, September 10, 2010 at 8:46 pm when our beautiful angel, Elizabeth Anne Trompler, entered into this world.
What was supposed to be a doctor's visit that afternoon ended up as a visit to the hosipital and a c-section later that same evening. Elizabeth looked beautiful and perfect to us; little did we know the challenges that would be facing us.
Not long after delivery, the doctor warned us of some abnormalities.  As time progressed, we learned of more abnormalities and deficiencies. After days of testing and observation, we finally received Elizabeth's diagnosis today, Trisomy 13, which is a rare and fatal genetic disease.  Most babies that are diagnosed with this disease do not make it to birth. Those that do make it to birth do not usually make it past one year old. There is no cure or treatment for this disease.  Today is the saddest day of our lives.  We are currently spending and treasuring every minute with our precious Elizabeth, as the doctors can not tell us how long she will live. We appreciate all of you who have been praying for Elizabeth, and we ask for your continued prayers.  I will try and keep updates posted, but as you can imagine, our one priority now is spending time with Elizabeth.
