In March, 2017 I was diagnosed with Myelodysplasia, a blood related cancer. I am starting this post after completing two bone marrow tests and six cycles of chemotherapy. Each cycle is composed of seven consecutive days of infusions then three weeks off. Recently because of low white blood cell counts the cycle now includes five consecutive days of injections to increase white blood cell count. These five days of injections are started the day after the chemo infusions. I was also informed recently that the chemo/injection cycles will continue of the rest of my life.
