Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support, words of hope, encouragement, and most of all your prayers.

On Thursday, May 10, 2018 Elizabeth went to the ER at Kennestone Hospital with severe pain in her shoulder.  After many test a CT Scan showed cancer in her colon that had metastasized to her liver.  On Friday,  May 11th she began seeing Oncologist, Dr. Carmen Klass.

On Thursday, May 17th she received the official diagnosis of Stage IV Colorectal Cancer.  The mass in the colon is small, however, the mass in the liver is very large.  She is young and doesn't have any other health complications therefore she has many options for treatment.    She will be receiving aggressive chemotherapy at the Kennestone Cancer Center every other week.

Elizabeth has received opinions  from Emory and MD Anderson and they are all in agreement that the treatment plan Dr. Klass has is the best for Elizabeth right now. Please pray that the cancer in the colon and liver (especially) has already and will continue to shrink.
The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer Psalms 6:9

Elizabeth is completely humbled by the already outpouring of messages, support, and prayers she has received. There will be ways to help and support Elizabeth and her family.  We will post the links as they become available. The support Elizabeth started receiving immediately upon diagnosis  has given her the strength and encouragement to know that she can fight this battle.
But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord's victory. He is with you...2 Chronicles 20:17

We serve a mighty God who can perform miracles at anytime.  We know we will need a miracle.
...with God everything is possible." Matthew 19:26

Thank you for your prayers,

Elizabeth, Brent, Savannah, Scarlett, and Georgia
