Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

As I write this first entry of Gram; I can not help but think of who she is to each of us.

Mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.

She has shown a steady decline over the last couple of years as age, Alzheimer’s and Dementia progress. We were blessed to share a beautiful Christmas with her up and opening gifts, decorating cookies and enjoying Jesus’s and Grandpa’s birthday.

On 1/2/2021, she was taken to the hospital and the hospital advised that she had aspiration pneumonia and it would best to take her home and to begin hospice care. She has since stopped eating and has requested little water.

We have been advised by the hospice nurse that visits several times a week of Gram’s expected timeline. The nurse said it could be with in a week and up to a month at most.

Initially, we have had a few special moments/ words with Gram however these moments have continued to become fewer and farther between.
