Imagine my surprise when I had my yearly physical at the end of October . My doctor discovered a serious problem in my heart which may have been present for years . Next week , November 26 through 28, I will have open heart surgery at Mercy San Juan hospital under the brilliant care of Dr Kaplon. I have two seriously leaking valves that will be replaced. In the meantime, I'm burning on 20% of my heart. So I'm resting, eating good food, and enjoying the company of my friends when I'm not asleep.
