Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Here is the back story from Emma’s initial facebook post. Moving forward, most updates will now be on this site.

“Eli went to the GBMC ER on Sunday (2/10/19) afternoon after a month of pain in his stomach and back. He had unsuccessful appointments at urgent care and primary care and his symptoms weren’t going away. At the ER, a CT scan was performed which revealed many tumors in his stomach, lungs, and back. He was kept overnight and and blood work was done. On Monday (2/11/19), it was determined the origin was testicular and surgery was performed. We were discharged that night.

Since then, we’ve been running around getting lots of things prepped. Yesterday (2/12/19), an MRI revealed it has also spread to the brain. Due to potential risks during chemo, our doctor at GBMC determined that we would be best treated at University of Maryland for the first week. Eli will be admitted there tonight (2/13/19) and stay inpatient for a week.”

Our good friend Harman started a GoFundMe page, which is linked on this page as well.
