A few days ago, Eli had complained of a headache but Ibuprofin seemed to have little effect. Eli was a bit sluggish, continued to have headaches, but didn't really seem anything more than under the weather.
Today, Nate came home to find Eli in bed, some vomit on the floor, and Eli finding it hard to recall what was happening. He continued to get sick but had a hard time staying lucid. We decided to take him to the emergency room.
At the emergency room, they did an EKG, a CT and some blood work. The CT showed an intracranial bleed and the decision was made to send him to Minneapolis Children's intensive care.
On arrival at Children’s they immediately took him to surgery to insert an EVD, drain to release the bleeding and pressure. We ask for prayers for the doctors, staff, and all those working with him tonight and will keep you posted.
