Elena Jacobs is 23 years old with the sweetest toddler you could ever lay your eyes on. Elena is outgoing but timid and always has a sparkle in her eyes, if she knows you, her "hello" will light the room. Bringing brightness runs in the family- Elena's little one is named Santana- after his incredibly giving and kind grandmother that we have come to know as Ms. Santana who works at Washington Yu Ying PCS.
Despite Elena's young age, she has stage 4 lymphoma and is getting ready to undergo an intensive and difficult journey of treatment.
Elena is no longer able to work as a result of her cancer and her next question is not about her radiation or treatments- it's about how she's going to pay the rent and how her little one and her partner are going to get through this financially.
This evening Elena is staying overnight at George Washington Hospital for an undetermined about of time due to difficulty breathing as a result of the spread of her lymphoma.
Funds in support of Elena will be to provide costs related to Elena no longer being able to work: rent, groceries, gas, parking, bills, and any medical bills not covered by insurance. This fund will be used to keep Elena's family afloat so that she can focus on healing and fighting stage 4 lymphoma.
