All great stories have a protagonist that overcomes adversity. Elaine's story is no different. The monster in this case is cancer, but Elaine is a brave and formidable heroine and she is determined to defeat the enemy. She needs her prayer warriors to support her on her journey. Let us all put on the full armor of God and vow to encourage and support her as she goes to battle. It will not be a short journey, nor an easy one but God tells us in Isaiah 40:31 "“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Elaine's fight verse is also found in Isaiah, chapter 41, verse 10 "Fear not for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
God bless and keep our dear friend Elaine in the palm of His mighty hand. God bless each and every member of her medical team. Lord, please give them the wisdom and skill to do what is best for her. God bless each member of Elaine's family as they endure the pains of this journey together. Give them all strength of body, mind and spirit. God bless each prayer warrior, family member and friend. Give us all the fortitude, endurance and vigilance to walk this journey together. We ask all of these things in the strong and mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
