Over the past two years Elaine has had a slow developing case of alzheimers. She remembers years ago quite well, but day to day activities became more and more of a chore for her. That has been tolerable but for Bill a lot of repeating. Since Christmas she has complained of being very tired and weak. Her appetite has diminished greatly. She had gone to urgent care a week ago for back pain, tired, and slight fever. She had a follow up with her doctor on Wednesday February 1st at which time it was discussed that a spot showed up on the chest x-ray and that a CT scan should be done. So on Friday February 3rd she had her CT Scan, It was determined that she had extensive cancer in left lung and nodules in her right. After leaving the doctor's office, Jeff received a call from the doctor stating that she had met with the radiologist and the extent of her cancer has spread into both lungs, liver, and multiple areas. We will be blessed to have her with us only a short time.
