Hello friends and family
I have decided it is time to put together a journal entry so we can update everyone on how mom and dad are doing. As you may or may not be aware mom fell in early October. Thankfully nothing was broken, however she was very sore from the fall. Unfortunately she has fallen three more times since the first incident (each time being lucky in regards to not breaking anything). However Mom's strength is weakening and she is frustrated by the little energy she has. Her left foot is very swollen and she is unable to put any pressure on it. Julie has taken her to several appointments to try and figure out what is going on with it. Unfortunately she has not gotten an answer.  Mom goes to a vein specialist on Wednesday and hopefully we will get some answers then. In the meantime, we have hired a nighttime aide to assist mom, as that seems to be the time she is the weakest. We are in the process of looking for a daytime aide as well so the pressure is off of dad a little bit in regards to moms care. If you know of anyone who assists the elderly please let Julie or I know. The goal is to keep mom and dad in their home, but until mom can put weight on her foot and gain some strength back, they will need some help. Prayers are appreciated.
