Family and Friends-
On Sunday, March 5, Ed fell at the grocery store. On Monday he went to the emergency room and was life-flighted to University Hospital. He has a subdural hematoma and pnemonia. At this time, Ed is in the ICU and receiving antibiotics and fluids to battle  infection but is making huge strides in recovery. He is conscious and knows where he is, who the people who visit him are, and can move as needed. Currently, there is no indication of cognitive damage  He will have a MRI in the next few days, and it will determine the surgical path the doctors will take when he is well enough for the hematoma to be treated. All of this will not occur during a short time period, but will be a journey where we are only able to focus on what is in front of us, day by day.
We have created this page to help keep everyone updated on his condition, so we are not texting and calling people all day, or forgetting to contact someone we have promised to call.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for everyone's prayers, texts, calls, and kindness. We are overwhelmed by the care and love in all of our lives and how our different communities have come together to support us. We are hoping Ed is home sooner rather than later, enjoying time with Judy, rolling his eyes at his adult children,  laughing with his grandkids and spoiling his pup, Lucy.

We are asking for continued prayers and good vibes and thoughts!
