Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Eden was born on October 15, 2020 weighing 4lbs and 6 oz and measuring 18 inches. She has been diagnosed with Trisomy 13, Double Outlet Right Ventricle, and Dandy Walker Syndrome.

Simply put, Trisomy 13 occurs when there is 3 copies of the 13th chromosome instead of the usual 2. It occurs due to a random error at conception. It is rare and only occurs in about 1 in 10,000 live births. Unfortunately, trisomy 13 is often classified by medical providers as “incompatible with life” and the statistics for survival are very bleak. Devastatingly, only about 10% of children born alive with trisomy 13 will survive past their 1st birthday. However, Eden’s parents, Lauren and Baylor, have chosen to cherish and fight for Eden’s life regardless of the number of days in it. Please join us in praying for our sweet miracle baby.
