Eden Rose Olson, our beautiful baby girl, was born on August 23rd, 2017 at 6:41pm (8lbs 7oz & 21.25" long).

After handfuls of severe complications during labor & delivery the sound of our Eden's heartbeat...        Stopped...          Unfortunately we will endure this horror again as this will not be the first time her heart stopped.

An emergency C-section later and Eden was rushed to another room where a sea of medical staff conducted CPR.  Fighting for her life, our determined little girl regained her heart's beat yet could not breathe for herself.

Deafening is the silence of never hearing our daughter cry...

With tests showing Eden went without oxygen for an extended period of time she was emergently transported to Children's Minnesota to undergo cooling therapy for the brain damage she suffered.  Unable to hold her, 72 hours stood as an excruciating eternity.  We whispered support, held her hand, kissed her cute cheeks and quietly gave her every ounce of strength we could ever hope and pray for.

With Eden's prognosis uncertain, we clung to hope, family and friends while praying for a miracle.

Come Monday tests revealed Eden's brain damage too severe to be survived.  We lived seconds as weeks as there would never be enough minutes, hours or days.  The MRI had left us with only one option, we were faced with having to let our daughter go and pick the worst day of entire lives.  How do you fight against everything you are as a parent and choose the day your child passes away?

On August 30th,  2017 after removing all the machines and wires we got to see our angel's full face for the first time.  Her perfect beautiful face took our breath away. No tubes, no wires or machine alarms sounding.  Just us three as the family we imagined. For the next two hours we held her in our arms, read her bedtime stories, and told her how much we loved her.  At 8:59  our sweet Eden Rose passed away.  We kissed her good night for the last time.  Our hearts forever shattered for our innocent daughter who was born with wings and we had to let her fly.

Words do no justice to the strength with which our Eden lived her 7 days.  Immeasurable is the number of hearts and lives she touched and the love we have for her.  Only tears to fill an ocean in a nightmare from which we can not wake.  Now there are scars both physical and emotional that time can not heal, but only help to slightly fade and arms that will always ache to hold our sweet baby Eden.

Scott and Tamara's friends have also set up a GoFundMe site for donations that will go toward medical bills and whatever may come next for this gorgeous little baby: https://www.gofundme.com/edenroseolson  (https://www.gofundme.com/edenroseolson ) (https://www.gofundme.com/edenroseolson  (https://www.gofundme.com/edenroseolson ))
