We are sharing Eddie's journey with this health crisis with our family and friends as he is dealing with Kidney Failure stage 3.
First of all this is not end stage renal disease. Stage 3 of the 5 stages is the middle non-treatable phase with gradual progression to full kidney failure. The journey to identify his health issues lead us through so many paths last year (2019). After numerous suspected cause,s finally the real culprit was identified. Medicinal induced kidney failure. Resulting from long term high blood press medicine damage to the kidneys. The journey continues as a result of removing all meds which lead his heart into afib in just a few days. A serious life threatening condition. New meds and more specialists added to this health journey.
So now as Eddie’s health is in progressive phase, I pause to find the best way to keep our friends and family informed. The time came for my early retirement from McKesson, in 2019, to allow me to focus caring for him. Now in 2020, He has my full attention.
