Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

On May 23 after having an endoscopy Ed was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. Needless to say we were shocked and completely unprepared for this result.

 After weeks of tests and delays we have finally started our journey to DEFEAT this cancer!!  As Ed says "It is what it is!" We are taking it one day at a time and doing what we have to do!

Ed will be doing five weeks of treatments which includes one day of chemo and five days of radiation. He is doing everything at the Mayo in Rochester. They have a radiation machine, Proton, which is less invasive to the other major organs. 

He started his treatments on Monday so he has one week under his belt!! He did awesome and has had no side effects so far!!
