On February 3 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was started on a perjeta based treatment for chemotherapy. It was every 3 weeks and I worked as much as possible throughout this. I completed 3 rounds of this before ending up in the hospital with pulmonary embolisms and a lower gi bleed. It was discovered at this time that the chemo was not working as effectively as the physicians had hoped and I was switched to a different chemotherapy. This new AC chemotherapy was every 2 weeks and I have now completed 4 rounds of it. And I'm done! I was unable to work during these rounds because of the side effects. These past few months have been the most difficult months of my life and I'm happy to say they are now behind me.
