Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Ebony was struck by a vehicle moving at approximately 40 miles per hour while crossing the street. She is currently in ICU at Riverside County Hospital. She is intubated and very sedated. The left side of her face is fractured and she has some bleeding on her brain. She was initially responsive to Rana's command by squeezing her hand. This has reduced most likely because of the heavy sedation. She has however tried to open her eyes. The next 72 hours are critical. She will remain intubated and sedated for at least the next 24 hours while the bleeding is monitored. She has had brain scans and will continue to have more to monitor the bleeding. The medical staff has been honest but hopeful noting how critical the next 24/72 hours will be. Rana is with her and will be updating the CB site when there is new information. Rana and the kids are asking for prayers.
