Welcome to our Caring Bridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Thursday November 22, Eathan was experiencing some stomach flu like symptoms. Spending 6 hours in the Emergency Department with a diagnosis of the stomach flu,  was sent home. Friday morning he returned but was too weak to walk . While on the way in, he  collapsed and went into Cardiac Arrest.  He was then air lifted to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. There he underwent surgery to determine what  was causing his issues.  It was found that he had a twisted intestine and a perforated bowel and was black from the blood supply being cut off. The bowel was repaired and the intestine fixed and the blood flow was restored.
Most who know Eathan know that when he was a baby, he  had a Wilmes tumor/Cancer. The scar tissue from this surgery caused scar tissue and Eathans intestine adhered to it causing it to twist and cut off the circulation to the bowel causing the perforation. All of the toxicity from the bowel and the stress of all of this is what caused the undue stress to his heart and cause him to go into Cardiac arrest.  This also caused septic shock.  Eathan was put on a ventilator and kept sedated to keep him calm. With everything his body went through, this also caused him to have seizures. Those are now under control with medication but there has been no more seizure activity. The  main concern now is the potential for brain damage from the cardiac arrest. We will not know if there is any brain damage until he wakes up to 2 weeks maybe more.
Eathan is such a blessing to all of those who know him and he has been blessed by those who know him with a variety of things. He haas a heart of gold and loves people and the Lord.
We are asking for prayers for healing of his brain, full function of his partial kidney, for the Doctors knowledge and anything that will help Eathan right know and in the future.
