Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

"Lord please help me to bring comfort where there is pain, courage where there is fear, hope where there is despair, acceptance when the end is near, and a touch gentle with tenderness, patience, and love."

Dwight was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies 7 years ago.  Dementia with Lewy bodies is a progressive degenerative disease that shares symptoms with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. People affected by this disease have behavioral and memory symptoms that can fluctuate, as well as motor problems that are commonly seen with Parkinson’s disease.  3 weeks ago, Dwight had deteriorated to the point of needing hospice care.  Now, we are seeing neurological changes and has moved into the final stages of this horrible disease.  Only God knows how much longer Dwight’s journey here on earth is, but I have started this site for all to share stories, support and love, and to send messages of encouragement and support to his beautiful wife Judy (my mom) who is selflessly caring for him at home so his last days are surrounded by love and in comfort.

“Love is stronger than death even though it can’t stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries, it can’t separate people from love.”
