Reid Smith

Dr. Reid Smith was admitted to M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN on June 17th, 2021, after Reid experienced extreme fatigue, tremors, disorientation and jaundice - all symptoms consistent with liver failure.  Upon intake, a blood analysis revealed that his liver was failing and a resulting high level of toxicity had built up.  Since his intake, St. Johns has been focused on both helping his body remove toxins as well as keeping him hydrated.  While he continues to sleep most of the time, he does remain exhausted when he is awake.  

The toughest part of being admitted into a hospital, has been Reid's inability to receive guests.   As we all know, Reid thrives on social interaction.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, Reid will be returning home to begin hospice care.
