I was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma eight days after playing 18 holes of extremely poor golf on a hot, sunny, Sunday afternoon in early May. After a rough Sunday night I checked in the CVS minute clinic on Monday morning where I was treated for the flu, although the test was negative. As I was leaving, I pointed out a lump on the right side of my neck that I had noticed over the past 1-2 months. She felt it, measured it and recommended I see a doctor ASAP. That week I got a CT scan on Wednesday that showed a malignant mass in my neck and chest, a Biopsy of the mass on Friday and the following Tuesday received the official diagnosis. I will be treated using the ABVD chemotherapy plan for 4-6 months with the possibility of radiation to follow.
