In June and early July, Drew noticed his skin becoming jaundiced. However, he put off a visit to the doc as he wanted to concentrate on finishing his college biology course as he is working toward his nursing degree. After his final, he went to the U of M hospital where he was diagnosed with a blocked bile duct in his liver and constipation (oh, so many puns to make here...). Through the course of that biopsy and a second biopsy on his pancreas, Drew was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Andrew also has cystic fibrosis (which impacts the pancreas) and cystic fibrosis-related type one diabetes, also impacting the pancreas. So really his pancreas has done him no favors. Ever.

As we know more about Drew's prognosis and schedule, we will update here. Please keep him and Jessica and the rest of his family in your prayers. Putting him on prayer chains is encouraged. Encouraging notes are also great, including kiddie artwork! If you need an address, just leave a comment and we'll message it to you. He does have a calendar set up on this site under "Ways to Help" for meals. Rides to chemo, if that is recommended, will also be scheduled here.
