Drew Hazlett

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. 
As most of you know Drew has been hospitalized at Florida Hospital Orlando twice this month even missing his high school graduation ceremony. The hospital and his school were so amazing in letting him be a part of his graduation from his hospital bed.
Last night in order to stabilize him he had emergency surgery and was placed on an Ecmo machine. Drew's heart is very sick.....his amazing medical team believes a viral infection attacked his heart.  As of right now he is still sedated and intubated and recovering in the Cardiovascular ICU.....our hope is that his heart will slowly start to show signs of improvement, however he is now on the heart transplant list. If you know Drew you know he genuinely cares for others and he's been sad to think that someone else might lose their life to save his. We have put our hope and faith in Our Lord and Savior. Please pray for our sweet boy....we know that God is in the miracle business and trust His will.
