Our sweet boy, Drew, started not feeling very well on April 19, 2017. He was complaining that his left cheek hurt and that his right arm was really painful. We thought it might be growing pains, but then the pain only got worse. We took him to the pediatrician on Friday, April 21 who ran a CBC and didn't like the look of the numbers or of Drew.
We were sent directly to St. Mary's emergency room where additional blood tests were done. We received the shock of our lives that our sweet, sweet Drew has Leukemia.
We were admitted to Palm Beach Children's Hospital and it was confirmed through a series of tests that Drew has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B Cell.
