Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We have created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time.

Dan's journey with cancer began on Mother's Day 2014 when he had a seizure.  The MRI showed two small masses that initially were thought to be non cancerous. He took anti seizure medication and did well for a few months.  In September, he started having more seizure activity and had a diagnostic craniotomy that showed he had Stage 3 Astrocytoma. Dan completed radiation therapy in December 2014 and took oral and IV chemotherapy in 2015 and 2016.  He had some good response to treatment and was able to enjoy happy times with family and the birth of his grandson, Harmon Gaines Baldwin.
Dan has been very tired, sleepy and weak the past months, and there are no more good options for treatment.  He was admitted to Hospice last week.  Please pray that Dan is comfortable and at peace and that he can feel the love of God, family and friends.
With Love,
Joan, Michael, Catherine and Travis (and Hailey, Claire & Gaines)
