Welcome to our CaringBridge site. Clara and I and our family created it to keep friends and family updated.  On June 9, 2016, I was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a very rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma for which there is no known cause, and unfortunately, no known cure. During the testing for a bone marrow transplant it was discovered I had a second, completly unrelated non small cell squamous cancer in my right lung.  I underwent a bone marrow transplant in January of 2017.  In April, 2017, the upper lobe of my right lung was removed in an attempt to abate the lung cancer.  Two months after we moved to Chesterfield, VA in 2018, the lung cancer returned, and I was diagnosed with two completely different and unrelated types of cancer in the same tumors in my lungs.

This is where we will answer the question "how are you doing?"  We don't post every day, but we will post frequently.  I (Doug) am humbled by the number of visits here and your comments.  I don't see a way to comment on your comment, but know I read each and every one.  Remember - It's a GREAT day to be alive!  Go out and make a difference in the world today, because Outlook Defines Outcome!
