It’s cancer. Something you hope you never hear. Some of you know that Doug has been having stomach issues. He has had multiple tests and doctor appointments. A scope finally found the answer. A tumor in his stomach was blocking his pylorus making it difficult to digest food. A bit of relief to finally have answers. Then A few days later, we learned it was cancer. This began our new journey. A quick shift to soft food to help with his stomach pain-which is helping. The next several days are being filled with tests - CT scan with contrast, biopsy, PET scan, scope with an ultrasound, and more. Doug has an amazing care team. We will learn more next week once all the results come back. It will likely be chemo, surgery, chemo.

Right now, we are trying to absorb all this information and are not ready to talk on the phone.
