Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Doug is positive for CoVid. On Sunday November 1st he was not oxygenating well...he was 86 all night so I took him to the ER in Monroe where he daughter is a RN.  They put him on oxygen and admitted him.  That day they had to keep increasing the amount of oxygen they had to give him to keep him above 90%.  By the end of the day he was on 15L.  Yesterday they had to put him on Vapotherm (google it...there is a cool video).  By using the Vapotherm they can give him even more oxygen.  He is now on 30L.  If he requires more they will have to move him to the ICU and put him on BiPap.  We need your prayers to keep him out of there!!  This morning they found a new pneumonia in his lower left lobe so they are adding an antibiotic called Rocephin to the dexamethasone, azithromycin, and remdesivir that he already has been getting.
