On Friday April 28th, mom was feeling very sick. She was running a fever, coughing, and just didn't feel well. She visited a local urgent care facility who tested her for flu. That was negative. However, they said she had all the symptoms and sent her home with an antibiotic. On Saturday, she appeared a little better. However, she woke up Sunday morning feeling much worse and having difficulty breathing. She dismissed it much to the dismay of dad. Early Monday morning, while mom was sleeping, my dad said she was struggling to breathe. He insisted she now go to the ER. As she was walking back to her bed from the bathroom, she fell due to the fact that she had absolutely zero energy. My dad called 911 for assistance to get her up and he took her to the ER. At the ER, the doctor immediately ordered an X-ray and said he was certain she had a very bad case of pneumonia. The X-ray confirmed that. He admitted her to ICU for 24 hour observation with an oxygen mask. ...
