I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 12/11/15. I had gone for my routine mammogram in November. I got a call back to do a follow up as they had seen some calcification in my right breast. We were getting ready to go to Tennessee on vacation so I waited until we returned to do the follow up. At that follow up they told me I would need to have a biopsy done to check the area they were seeing further. This was scheduled for 12/9/15 and results were given to me on 12/11/15. Positive for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I have had an MRI, ultrasound and additional biopsies. All have come back positive, also finding cancer in the lymph nodes. The surgeon recommended that I have chemo before surgery. I had the chemo port put in last Thursday. I am scheduled tomorrow with the chemo oncologist to find out what the plan will be for chemo. Basically that's all I know for now. Will keep updating as we go along. God is good all the time!
