Hello friends and family. If you are reading this, you are a special friend to our family and are concerned about our Mom. About one month ago we began seeing concerning behavior from our mother. We immediately took her to her PCP. Dementia was suspected and we were referred to a neurologist. An MRI was ordered and the results delivered on Wednesday, Dec 13. They’re are multiple masses in her brain. We were instructed to take her in for a complete work up. She has been at UM since then. They have scanned other areas to rule out other masses. They suspect the primary tumor to be the lung cancer from 2009. We are currently working with a variety of teams at UM to come up with a plan. Oncology has requested a biopsy to determine pathology. The surgery is Sunday. After she will be in NICU for a couple days. After that we don’t know. I will try to keep this site updated as best I can. Please send your prayers her way. She is in no pain and appears to be quite content. More to come. Love you.
