Welcome to Dorine's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
At the tail end of their epic yearlong adventure, the Harris family went to Yellowstone NP. While backpacking there, Dorine started having difficulty walking, particularly with her right leg. She also started having trouble forming some words and finishing sentences. Soon after leaving the backcountry, Dorine had a CT scan, which revealed a tumor in her brain, on the left side. A panel of several doctors at UW have deemed the tumor inoperable.
We know that there are many people who care deeply about Dorine and want to support her and her family in any way they can. We will update this site regularly with news of Dorine's condition and treatment.
